I just heard that the principle suspended the student that got stabbed...or scraped...not sure which.

The fact of the matter is that the recent idealogy going around HRM is wrong. What I do know is that the right to defend oneself is a right ... and it is legal to defend oneself.

I droppeed a SOB that desperatly needed it about 2 years ago and HRM Police charged me 2 months later....I won. My conflict was not with a student, howvever, he had be brought up through the current "non violence" teaching and thought that he could threaten my life...apparently a lawyer who visited in school had set him straight on what is legal and illegal under the criminal code...wrong!

The current system made money from the situation with court costs, lawyers fees, police court costs, crown procecuters cost, etc. I paid for that...but alot of people could not afford it.

In case you are missing the point here, the fact of the matter some of the most incompetent people are put in positions that where they have great infuence and actually instruct and or influence the actions of others. Ensure you are in the right and correctly justified when you make decisions on "convicting" people of offences...and that it under the Criminal Code of Canada.

If someone in my family is attacked I expect that they fight until the threat is elimiated by whatever means necessary.

HRM residents need to wake up and insist that Criminal Code of Canada is followed and a that a certain level of professionalism is EXPECTED. If you are not satisfied with HRM Police response nor agree with charges call the RCMP and have them look into it.

And, by the way, school principles didn't dictate nor enforce the Criminal Code of Canada the last time I looked.
