Genre
[edit]whats the genre?—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.111.164.225 (talk • contribs) .
it says pop punk, but there on the list of emo bands, any connection?—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 206.176.107.150 (talk • contribs) .
I think that from their last album they have converted to Hard Rock. Sure they used to be emo and pop punk but with the new line-up their music has changed.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 67.54.223.252 (talk • contribs) .
- Yeah, hard rock is something completely different though. Their new music's harder, yes, but not hard rock. If anything, it's alternative metal like the album article says, given their similarity to later Fenix*TX (Lechuza era). I did think about changing it when the album was released, but was indifferent. I changed it now though. --HarryCane 13:56, 22 July 2006 (UTC)
No, I don't think they're Alternative Metal the only song on their new album that would maybe be alternative metal is "Our Revolution" but that's only one song.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 67.54.223.252 (talk • contribs) .
- Then I really don't see where you hear a strong hard rock influence. "Our Revolution" is definitely not the only song with an alternative metal spin, see e.g. "Anthem for Tonight" and "Under Fire". Either way, what one person thinks (which certainly does not exclude me) is not the basis of editing Wikipedia, as these genre discussions are rarely unbiased and most of the time based on personal preference rather than musical expertise. I changed it from hard rock to alternative metal, because if one of them applies, then it's the latter. I found it negligible when the album was released, that's why I didn't change it back then. --HarryCane 12:23, 24 July 2006 (UTC)
I'd really say they are pop-ish. I live in Halifax NS, but I think there is no big chanhe they'd be metal, but, good record.
Halifax falls into the post-hardcore catagory. Very hardcore-like guitar work, but with a modern sound. Iii9ix3 01:58, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
It doesn't fall into the category of post-hardcore because there is no "hard" sound in their music. They scream only a couple times. And this is definitely not emotionally charged hardcore, so I removed emo from the list. This is just pop punk/rock. FatalError (talk) 20:52, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
"Recently"
[edit]Close to the end of the main article, there are quite a few seemingly random sentences that explain what the band has been up to "recently". It's really vague; who knows how much time has passed since that particular information was posted? This part needs to be re-done. Write about what the band has done in past tense and include dates.
