Introduction
[edit]- "It is chamber pop which can be interpreted as an ironic "personal essay" rather than simply a song. Rihanna delivery of the track features firm yet steady vocals in an "experimental" fashion, as she sings about not being sorry for how lets people into her life. She references Oprah Winfrey in the line "You saw me on the television", possibly alluding to her relationship with Chris Brown and his assault on Rihanna." — This information in this section reads a bit out of order to me, and gets into a bit too much detail for an introduction. Might I suggest something along the lines of "It is a chamber pop song that sees Rihanna deliver vocals in an "experimental" fashion. Its lyrics have been described as a "personal essay", with lyrics that discuss Rihanna's unrepentant attitude in letting people into her life."

Background and production
[edit]- This section gets into more detail into Unapologetic than it does the song specifically. I would remove the album "teasers" and "Diamonds" mention and leave the sentence about the new sound she was aiming for and (of course) the full second paragraph about writers and producers.

Composition and lyrical interpretation
[edit]- "Half of Me" can be interpreted as a "personal essay" rather than just a song." — For clarification, it's probably best to reference the reviewer who said this.
- I don't think it matters, the name of this section includes "lyrical interpretation", so it's all the info combined from reviews to come up with this conclusion. — AARON • TALK 23:43, 9 April 2013 (UTC)
- The lyrics to one of the verses doesn't seem necessary, I would just remove it.
- It's to do with the last sentence, so the lyrics are needed to show what it is about. — AARON • TALK 23:43, 9 April 2013 (UTC)
Critical reception
[edit]- Looks good to me.
Chart performance
[edit]- The reference for the UK Singles Chart goes to the current week's positions, please find an archive of the chart for November 25.
- The "critical" and "chart" receptions are so short, I'd recommend merging them into a single "Reception" heading.

Other comments
[edit]- You guys did a good job with this article. Just a couple small edits to consider which wouldn't take long at all. For now, I'll put the article on hold until April 16, but I'm sure that this can all be taken care of in a couple of days. WikiRedactor (talk) 21:13, 9 April 2013 (UTC)
- Addressed all. — AARON • TALK 23:47, 9 April 2013 (UTC)
- Everything looks good to go, and I have passed the article! WikiRedactor (talk) 20:01, 10 April 2013 (UTC)
