Proposed deletion

[edit]

I removed the prod tag from this article because I feel there's a chance that the subject may be suitably notable. He has released a DVD[1], several CDs and tapes,[2] and I found one review within the first few google results.[3]--Michig (talk) 07:40, 29 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

He is still alive

[edit]

I have no way to source this, but Hal and his wife Mary are in a care home run by the Catholic Church in Dublin, as both are suffering from dementia. But they are alive and well. We hear from one of his daughters with updates every few months. I added this only because there is a Yahoo Answer that says Hal died, which is not true. Brendan Grace quote

[edit]

I removed the following piece of text.

>>Upon hearing the news, fellow comedian and good friend Brendan Grace stated: "Roach was a prime influence throughout my career and has inspired me and many others to walk in the shadow of his greatness." [1]

The quote was added here as a hoax(http://dublin.studenty.me/2012/05/21/wikipedia-a-journalists-friend/). Irishcentral.com took the quote from the wikipedia article.

What's my line?

[edit]

He was a regular panelist in this low-budget RTE offering in the early 1970's. It was based on the American version. I have been unable to find a source at RTE, who were famous for obliterating master tapes owing to budget constraints. However, I remember the show (and him in it) quite well, and have added it as a minor point of information. No objections, I hope. Hanoi Road (talk) 21:02, 18 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
