Just a thought, but the article says that this area has "claimed many ships"...however, only one ship is listed. I would imagine that if the area is known for claiming ships, that there would be more ships than this one that have been claimed. --Infero Veritas (talk) 18:45, 6 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fair point. I've just added a further four. Feel free to add more in a similar way. (Note that they are currently ordered by date of wreck. If the list grows, then a sortable wikitable could be used.) Feline Hymnic (talk) 19:25, 6 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Spelling

[edit]

It's HAPPISBURGH SANDS. I accept it's pronounced Haisborough but that isn't how its spelt! Seems to be anon-IP "86.20.230.79" 18:06 17 May 2009

It seems to be spelt at least four different ways: Happisburgh, Haisborough, Haisboro, Haisbro. Google searches for (quoted) "H... sands" using the four different "H..." spellings give comparable numbers of hits. The RNLI website includes at least two variants. If you can find a reliably definitive source for an unambiguous official spelling (who defines "official", by the way?) then we can adjust the article's title, and let Wikipedia redirects assist with the other spellings. P.S. Yes, I agree that the coastal village is "Happisburgh". But this article is about the offshore sands, for which the spellings in use seem to be much more variable. Feline Hymnic (talk) 22:01, 17 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
