Page move
[edit]Could we maybe discuss this, instead of reverting each other's moves and letting this degenerate into an edit war? The move was objected to, which means it wasn't non-controversial, which means we should establish some form of consensus for the page to be at one title or the other. I personally don't have an opinion; I just hate to watch this kind of nonsense. --TKK! bark with me if you're my dog! 15:43, 4 October 2013 (UTC)
- I don't really have an opinion on which title would be best I was just reverting the copy and paste move. Callanecc (talk • contribs • logs) 15:52, 4 October 2013 (UTC)
- I'm okay on "Hairline lowering". I agree, Googling with quotes does appear to support this as WP:COMMONNAME after all. But if you undo my mv of the article, you need to undo my mv of the talk page as well, as I've just done. Msnicki (talk) 16:46, 4 October 2013 (UTC)
- I've reverted the copy and paste move again. And I've asked an admin to move the page currently at Scalp advance to Hairline lowering over the redirect. Callanecc (talk • contribs • logs) 01:13, 5 October 2013 (UTC)
From a medical standpoint, "scalp advance" doesn't address the actual procedure since you can advance the scalp in any direction. Moreover, it would be scalp advaceMENT. As a physician I assure you that "scalp advance" is not a term that would be used. I do not think we should use colloquial terms when an actual documented term for the procedure exists in the medical literature. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.136.136.210 (talk) 03:19, 5 October 2013 (UTC)
