Some copy changes. I also need some additional references for awards and prior years' ACC academic team announcements. This should not take long.

Copy changes

[edit]
  • Van Lith was born in Wenatchee, Washington to Needs a MOS:GEOCOMMA after Washington. This issue recurs in the next section.
  • Van Lith averaged 32 points, 8.3 rebounds, 7.3 steals and 5.2 assists per game as a sophomore, was named AP Class 1A Player of the Year. Replace the comma after "sophomore" with an "and"
  • She was selected to play in the McDonald's All-American Game and the Jordan Brand Classic but both games were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Comma after "Classic" (User:Sammi Brie/Commas in sentences, CinS for short)
  • As a freshman, Van Lith averaged 11.2 points, 5.2 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game, and was an ACC All-Freshman Team selection. Remove the last comma (CinS)

Spot checks

[edit]
  • 17: Article on Van Lith breaking the Washington state scoring record. Van Lith did just that, head on, and broke Jennifer Stinson’s long-standing state record Saturday with 46 points as the top-ranked Bulldogs (21-0) rolled past Omak 84-28 in the Class 1A Caribou Trail League championship game at Eastmont High School. The 5-foot-10 senior guard has 2,886 career points to surpass the 2,881 Stinson scored for Davenport from 1991-95. checkY
  • 20: Gatorade/MaxPreps Player of the Year announcement. Neither refs 20 or 21 mention the Seattle Times and AP awards; do other refs in this article
  • 26: Already, she’s garnering interest from Division I colleges... checkY
  • 33: Louisville posted a 26-4 record during the 2020-21 season, winning the ACC regular season title and claiming a berth in the ACC Championship game. They reached the Elite Eight as a No. 2 seed in the NCAA Tournament... checkY
  • 46: AP All-American honorable mention. checkY
  • 62: More sources are needed to show that she was on the All-ACC Academic Team in years prior to 2022–23.

Earwig mostly complains about banal phrases, including one that is so uncreative it can't be copyvio: averaged 34.4 points, 8.3 rebounds, 5.2 steals and 4.9 assists per game. No real issues there.

Other suggestions

[edit]
  • Have you considered reviewing Good Articles? I notice you have more than 20 GAs (and some quality articles) but no reviews to your credit. This is why your nominations sink to the bottom of category lists. We are having a backlog drive to reduce the number of GANs awaiting review; you're encouraged to join!
