Merge with Hague Conference on Private International Law
[edit]- The more general article could use more detail on particular treaties, if this is one of the treaties that is part of the ongoing Hague Conference on Private International Law. --Drtillberg 03:25, 30 July 2007 (UTC)
The Hague Rules are not a part of the Hague Conference of Private International Law
[edit]These rules were adopted in a separate effort and should not be merged with the article on the HCPIL.
They also have a special weight as a topic in their own right, in the field of commercial/shipping law.
It is entirely unhelpful to merge the two. The maritime litigation aspect of the Hague Rules seperates it from the more general umbrella term proposed
I agree
[edit]The Hague rules is a maritime convention and has nothing to do with this article. The Hague rules are extreamly important in the carriage of goods by sea and should have a article of their own. 10 September 2009. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 130.232.214.10 (talk) 11:31, 10 September 2009 (UTC)
