[edit]

There are eight sources on Pubmed: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sites/entrez?db=pubmed&cmd=search&term=%22Haff+disease%22 - I think the Buchholz article will be the most useful source here... JFW | T@lk 12:54, 2 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Already in 1933 this was suspected to be due to a poison, see this paper (1933!) JFW | T@lk 16:33, 2 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Connect to Myoglobinuria?

[edit]

Searching for this on de.wikipedia I found it mentioned only under their article on myoglobinuria, as a form of paralytic myoglobinuria, which is there a redirect to their equivalent of Equine exertional rhabdomyolysis. That article doesn't mention any human equivalents, and our article on myoglobinuria doesn't mention Haff disease. Could someone with the necessary medico-scientific knowledge make it possible to find this article from the symptomology end? I don't believe I can do it acceptably well, but I think it likely someone will search for this on en.wikipedia via a similar path, not remembering the name "Haff".
