I'll start this review ASAP. Just before we begin, to sort out confusion, I will have a general review then an in depth prose and source review. In the general review, I'll use the "GA tools" box. Cheers! MrWooHoo (talk) 18:20, 14 May 2016 (UTC)
- @SSTflyer: Just a couple of tiny prose issues and I'll pass. MrWooHoo (talk) 19:17, 14 May 2016 (UTC)
General Review
[edit]- Only thing GA tools is saying is to avoid using "th" as in January 30th, but I can't find any examples of that in the article. No problems then!
Rate | Attribute | Review Comment |
---|---|---|
1. Well-written: | ||
1a. the prose is clear, concise, and understandable to an appropriately broad audience; spelling and grammar are correct. | ||
1b. it complies with the Manual of Style guidelines for lead sections, layout, words to watch, fiction, and list incorporation. | ||
2. Verifiable with no original research: | ||
2a. it contains a list of all references (sources of information), presented in accordance with the layout style guideline. | ||
2b. reliable sources are cited inline. All content that could reasonably be challenged, except for plot summaries and that which summarizes cited content elsewhere in the article, must be cited no later than the end of the paragraph (or line if the content is not in prose). | ||
2c. it contains no original research. | ||
3. Broad in its coverage: | ||
3a. it addresses the main aspects of the topic. | ||
3b. it stays focused on the topic without going into unnecessary detail (see summary style). | ||
4. Neutral: it represents viewpoints fairly and without editorial bias, giving due weight to each. | ||
5. Stable: it does not change significantly from day to day because of an ongoing edit war or content dispute. | ||
6. Illustrated, if possible, by media such as images, video, or audio: | ||
6a. media are tagged with their copyright statuses, and valid non-free use rationales are provided for non-free content. | Images aren't required for GA articles (per WP:GANOT) but I like to help GA's become FA's. I would recommend trying to find one and to put it in the article for future possible FA's. | |
6b. media are relevant to the topic, and have suitable captions. | See above note. | |
7. Overall assessment. | Good job! |
Prose Review
[edit]Note: If you have changed the sentence that needed to be corrected, press Enter and start off the line with ::
, then use or Done
If the change was only partially done use , and or Not done if the change could not occur. (If you would explain why, I would be greatly appreciated :P)

- "First, only reportedly sold over 15,000 units of the device, while both ReadWrite and Time named it among the biggest failures in the technology industry for 2013.[1][2]"
- You don't need to cite this in the lead, as per WP:WHENNOTCITE.
- " the keyboard messagine HTC Status,"
- What's a messagine? I'm assuming it's a typo?
Source Review
[edit]- No dead links, so sources are good. MrWooHoo (talk) 19:17, 14 May 2016 (UTC)
