The time line within this article is incorrect. The Group 6 Deployment lead by HMS Tiger left Plymouth in the September of 1976. The deployment came back in the spring of 1977 and took part in the Spithead Review immediately upon her return to the UK. Zulu was the last ship to arrive at Spithead and and I had the job of briefing the ships Supply officer from the bridge roof of the names and seniority of all the ships present as we entered the lines, and also when the lines steamed into the open sea after the review was over. All ships steamed into open waters where we again passed Britannia and saluted the Queen whilst steaming at speed.
