Scilly or Sicily?
[edit]This blog post claims that this ship ran aground off Sicily, not the Isles of Scilly. I've asked Rif to investigate. — ʞɔıu 20:18, 11 August 2013 (UTC)
- It is nonsense, and possibly a vandal at work at wrecksite, though it appears to have been added here in good faith. One of the two sources used in the wrecksite entry, Michael Phillip's work, does seem to support it On 31 March whilst off the Isles of Scilly, - but has none of the specific location material that appears in wrecksite. Phillip's website is good, but prone to errors like this. At best it is just a spelling error. Wrecksite's description of her as a 'gun-brig (cutter)' is also erroneous. Perhaps the Sapphire is being conflated with another ship somehow? Benea (talk) 20:41, 11 August 2013 (UTC)
