Guns from where?
[edit]The lede states that Roberts reused the twin 15-inch gun turret of Marshal Soult, which states (unreffed) that the turret and guns were transferred. The final paragraph of this article states that the guns were originally from Resolution, but the Resolution article appears not to mention the removal of her guns, neither is any re-gunning of Roberts mentioned here.
However, from the IWM note about the gun outside the museum: "This gun was mounted in the battleship HMS Resolution from 1915-1938, and was first fired in action against targets in the Sea of Marmora in 1920. It was stored from 1938-44 when it was mounted in the twin 15-in gunned monitor HMS Roberts."[1]
Also asking at the Resolution talk page. So, would anyone have any further information? MinorProphet (talk) 20:10, 4 October 2022 (UTC)
