[edit]The text says that the Flowers (and the other corvettes) were effective in convoy work. But the source given does not back up the statement - it notes how many they were and that they were used in convoy work but not that they were "effective". GraemeLeggett (talk) 11:38, 27 April 2011 (UTC)
It depends upon which meaning of the word 'effective' you wish to use. Apart from meaning 'capable' it can also mean 'in operation', which would be the meaning I would take to be implied here. But perhaps, as it is ambiguous, it is a poor choice of wording. I have edited to 'operative'. Tedmarynicz (talk) 09:54, 11 September 2017 (UTC)
