"...had repaired 24 aircraft since her arrival." - what kinds of aircraft, what units and what kinds of damage? Just need some context as to what of the ship's designed duties it actually accomplished.
- Source doesn't specify, but note that she didn't get to her base until 21 June, rather late in the campaign.
"Pioneer arrived in Hong Kong in late September to help with the rebuilding of the colony's infrastructure." - could also use a little more context, as-is, it begs the question what an aircraft-repairing ship could do for a colony on land.

"The ship sailed for Sydney the following month and departed for the UK on 17 February 1946." - why did she go to Sidney?
- Not given, but probably because Sydney was the main base for the BPF.
"pon her arrival, she was placed in reserve." - where is the reserve fleet located?
- More like which one? They had ships scattered among the major naval bases and didn't centralize things like the US.
Hobbs 2011 is in the references but not used in the text.
