[edit]A missing HMS Lightning? Lloyds List No.4340, 31 Mar 1809 'The Hoop (Dutch) laden with Naval & Military Stores, Prize to HMS Lightning' Lloyds List No.4478, 24 July 1810. 'Lightning Bomb' sailed for the Baltic. 1861 Census, Wath upon Dearne, Hellen (Ellen) Blyth, nee Rose, daughter of Edward Rose, Captain, stated place of birth as 'On a British Man of War's Ship the Sloop Lightning off the coast of Africa.'
