I have made the distinction that Jutland, along with sister ships Agincourt, Aisne, Alamein, Barrosa, Corruna, Dunkirk and Matapan were later, or 1943 Battle class ships because there were significant differences between these and the earlier 1942 ships, both in length and beam and also in armament.
Cancellation of first HMS Jutland
[edit]What does it mean to say that the first HMS Jutland was cancelled after she was launched ? What happened to her ? Was she re-named ? Did she sink ? Was only her hull launched, and the rest of her not completed ? GeraldH 14:51, 19 May 2006 (UTC)
- According to the page HMS Jutland, the hull was launched and used for trials before being broken up and sold for scrap. Borg Sphere (talk) 16:33, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
