Falmouth 1982
[edit]A couple of things to update on the Armament and history.
I served in Falmouth between July 82 and January 83. In that time, following a work up at Portland, we crossed the Atlantic to serve as Belize Guard Ship. Several visits to Belize sandwiched around visits to Vera Cruz, Mexico, Houston, Texas, St Peterburg, Florida, and the islands of Dominica, Tortola, Martinique, Barbados and Grand Caymen returning to Portsmouth December 82.
The 40mm gun had been replaced by a single Seacat Sponson (4 missiles) and one of the Limbo Mortars sets was removed, I believe, to make way for the flight deck and Wasp helicopter. 2A00:23C7:5D4C:4D01:9C8E:9A11:8E83:D518 (talk) 09:09, 27 November 2023 (UTC)
