Initial comments
[edit]- This is minor, but I would usually recommend cutting the red links in the lead. I don't know if it's an actual part of WP:LEAD but it usually looks better without red links. Feel free to ignore
- "She captured a German merchant ship days after the beginning of World War I in August 1914" - link World War I
- "and was then sent to the Central Atlantic" - is 'central' meant to be capitalised?
- Yes, like North Atlantic often is.
- "The armour of the gun turrets and their barbettes was 4 inches thick" - convert to metric
- Linked on first use.
- "She was now assigned to the North Atlantic and West Indies Station[21] and she began escorting convoys between North America and Britain on 19 September" - get rid of "she" here, might read better without it
- Agreed
- "Cornwall spent much of the rest of the month searching for the German ships that hadn't yet been captured" - had not
- No dead links
- "The ship was later assigned to a new squadron intended to patrol the River Plate" - River Plate is a dab link
- The external links section is empty
On hold until all of the above can be addressed. Once again, this is a well written compact article. JAGUAR 11:08, 8 April 2016 (UTC)
- Thanks for looking this over. Happy to offer more material to increase your lead reviewing GANs for the Welsh contest ;-) I think that I've responded to all of your comments, see if they satisfy.--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 14:32, 8 April 2016 (UTC)
- Thank you for addressing them, I've gone through the article and this should be good to go. You keep lobbing them in, I'll keep reviewing them! JAGUAR 22:07, 8 April 2016 (UTC)
