Stanton, Thames
[edit]There is no such location as "Stanton, Thames", however there was a "Stanton's Yard" on the River Thames at Rotherhithe. Stuart Rankin in Shipyards, Granaries and Wharves, Maritime Rotherhithe, History Walk B states that this is where the 60 gun HMS America was built in 1757, by Thomas Stanton in partnership with a member of the Wells family.
