Initial comments
[edit]- "When the First World War began in August of that year" - link First World War
- The lead summarises the article perfectly, but I would recommend splitting it into two paragraphs
- "On 1 September, a submarine was spotted inside Scapa Flow and the 2nd DF was detailed to hunt down the imaginary submarine" - imaginary? Does this mean to say that the submarine wasn't really there?
- Yep, German records confirm that no u-boat was present. This early in the war, both sides tended to see submarines everywhere.
- "As scout cruisers, the ships were only lightly protected to maximize their speed" - maximise
- "She only fired eight 4-inch rounds during the entire battle" - convert to metric
- Already done on first use.
- No dead links
- "by Lady Herbert, wife of Major-general Ivor Herbert, MP" - MP is a dab link
A short review, but very little issues to bring up. Once all are done this can pass. JAGUAR 20:21, 13 April 2016 (UTC)
