[edit]

The antiviral drug Abacavir has shown a degree of hypersensitivity and immunological etiology related to MHC, MHC encodes proteins involved in HLAs which displays more than 2000 alleles. Work by Hughes (2004) has shown an association between Abacavir hypersensitivity and HLA-B*5701. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.42.242.5 (talk) 17:04, 6 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The comment(s) below were originally left at Talk:HLA-B/Comments, and are posted here for posterity. Following several discussions in past years, these subpages are now deprecated. The comments may be irrelevant or outdated; if so, please feel free to remove this section.

This article should be rated as mid importance. The start rating should be retained. The article focuses too much on B27 and does not discuss the 50 or so other serotypes. The B27 material is already discussed on the B27 page and thus this material should be deleted.
