Role(s) at Long Ashton Research Station
[edit]Can anyone confirm he was Deputy Director as opposed to Director during the late 1950's thru 1967.
I was his godson. My father Stanley Herbert Bennett being an entomologist who owed much of his career to Howard and who worked at Long Ashton from the 1940's until his premature death in 1960. Howard helped my mother considerably after this and I continued to visit him after he retired and moved to Sedgemoor in 1967. I had always understood him to be the Director. Certainly, he and Molly lived in the Director's residence at LARS and he was referred to as the Director. Also, I remember Hudson being appointed, apparently as his successor.
Can anyone confirm that was actually Deputy Director and, if so, who was he deputy to?. NigelGBennett (talk) 16:33, 4 June 2023 (UTC)
