The Fate of OB-1
[edit]The accident cited at http://www.aviationarchaeology.com/src/1940sB4/1923.htm was one where a "rip landing" was made. Another was made on 6 October 1923. Shock, James R., U.S. Army Airships, 1908-1942, 2002, Atlantis Productions, Edgewater Florida, ISBN 0-9639743-9-4, page 60. Obviously the OB-1 was not "Lost" on 28 September 1923.
