Is there only one Mark II GS

[edit]

The section Usage (Mark II Gyro Sight) is just a long list of aircraft that use one type of GGS. Unsourced and Seems unbalanced ? Can we add "british" to the section title ? or is there no risk of confusion ? - Rod57 (talk) 10:59, 21 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Could do with explanation of how gyro(s) used.

[edit]

Explain or link how gyro used to make sight lead the barrel - clarify if it works just left-right or also up-down ? - Rod57 (talk) 11:08, 21 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Why is the dual gyro EZ 42 better

[edit]

Explain how the EZ 42 improves on the MK II, and how it uses the 2nd gyro ? - Rod57 (talk) 11:08, 21 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Germans captured P-47

[edit]

The article says a P-47 with a gyro sight was captured in early 1942. The Thunderbolt did not enter combat until March 1943, and did not receive gyro sights for about another year. 2600:8800:2204:63:7477:F0E1:3D6B:763A (talk) 03:26, 22 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah. This claim is taken straight from the German book cited but is factually impossible. I have elected to use editorial discretion and not include it, referencing instead the BIOS report. Fangz (talk) 17:22, 24 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
