Menai Bridge Tigers & Ogwen Tigers

[edit]

Hi User:Zanoni, I have noticed that on the history you have mentioned that Menai Bridge Tigers and Ogwen Tigers are the same team. From my understanding Mynydd Tigers changed their name to Ogwen Tigers North Wales Sport. Onshore (talk) 13:00, 24 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Same same - there is just one team, not two! Zanoni (talk) 13:08, 24 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
User:Zanoni Thanks for the reply, So just to clarify, last season Menai Bridge Tigers and Mynydd Tigers were teams A and B of the same football club? Onshore (talk) 18:16, 24 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
The following links suggest they are still separate clubs:-
On Menai Bridge Tiger's facebook page they have posted a friendly match tonight against Gwalchmai and on the Ogwen Tigers webpage, they have made a number of changes including a change of name from Mynydd Tigers and that they also have a number of friendlies. Their first game of the season is against Bangor 1876 on Saturday 10 August.
I have also viewed your twitter page source on the reason why you may have suggested that Menai Bridge Tigers and Ogwen Tigers are as one. However there is not mention of this in the following quote taken from Ogwen Tigers 7 July 2019 Twitter post:-

"Tigers Seniors have had their name change approved by the NWCFA and will now be known as OGWEN TIGERS.
The change represents more closely where we will be based going foward, with our new home ground at Bethesda Rugby Club, and the plans and changes ahead. Exciting times"

Therefore, I would like to know your source that they are both the same club? Thanks Onshore (talk) 19:14, 24 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Opening week of the Gwynedd League season fixtures have been released North Wales Sport, therefore Menai Bridge Tigers and Ogwen Tigers are confirmed as seperate clubs and their are 15 teams competing in the 2019–20 season of the Gwynedd League. I have there reverted the page to show 15 teams. Onshore (talk) 20:09, 24 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Righty ho - fair enough - thanks for looking it all up etc Zanoni (talk) 20:20, 24 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
No Worries, I just wanted to make sure everything is correct as I have created 2019–20 Season pages for Anglesey, Gwynedd and Vale of Clwyd and Conwy Footall leagues. They are currently sitting in my sandbox but I will be moving them to their correct pages by the weekend. Onshore (talk) 20:37, 24 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
