Respected experienced Wiki Editor(s), I’m writing this in response to the proposed deletion of article titled ‘Guwahati Metro’ on English Wikipedia. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guwahati_Metro I respect the high standards set by Wikimedia Foundation, and will always try to abide in accordance with them. So, I think it was too early to write an article about the upcoming project, as I fully understands that WP is not a crystal ball. I have no reason convincing enough why the article shouldn’t be deleted. But I guess it can be included as sub heading in transport section on the article titled ‘Guwahati’ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guwahati#Transport
Also, Let me enlighten you that articles :
- Coimbatore Monorail is included in the Indian rapid transit; although no plans are chalked out for it, its yet not clear whether the govt. will be investing in monorail or metro rail, as consecutive govt. had different plans (DMK and AIADMK, you know politics! )
- Bangalore Monorail is included in the Indian rapid transit, although it is yet not decided that apart from Nama metro what city needs a Monorail or a Light Transit Rail.
- Indore Monorail is included in the Indian rapid transit, but on the similar lines of Guwahati Metro the project is in planning stage, and the feasibility test has not been performed.
With Selfless Regards, Gunjan.
