Insensitivity To Pain
[edit]This test reveals our abnormal insensitivity to inflicting pain on infants, who are helpless to defend themselves. This test lasts for several minutes, during which time the puncture is repeatedly squeezed for sample after sample of blood for this family of tests. It is an example of how humans rationalize and hide the pain they inflict in the name of guaranteeing a healthier life. Related irrationalities: Anti-abortion violence, spanking infants and children, and circumcision without anesthesia. David Spector (talk) 13:40, 28 September 2011 (UTC)
