Deshpande's mentor, etc

[edit]

Deshpande's mentor was Peter O. Brackett Ph.D, Vice President of R&D at Motorola Codex and also professor of electrical engineering at Queens university. Brackett sponsored Deshpande for Canadian residency and gave him his first job as an engineer at Codex.

The technical and business plans for Cascade Communications were given to Deshpande by Peter Brackett, this occurred during a visit to Peter's house in Coral Springs FL after things didn't work out for Deshpande at Coral Networks, he was also turned down for employment at Racal, his reason for traveling to Florida. In fact, the only time we ever heard from Desh was when he wanted something like a job, we called him "Desh The User". Deshpande never acknowledged where his idea came from and he never compensated or even offered Brackett a job for that matter when he found himself looking for work later.

BTW there should be a change made to the article page regarding Coral Networks, he didn't sell it, if I remember correctly there was some kind of a hostile takeover by VC's in that case.

As Jim1138 and I have pointed out, you have to provide independent, reliable, published sources for what you say before it can be incorporated into an article. -- Hoary (talk) 05:04, 21 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Removing material from this or other article talk pages

[edit]

On 21 August, Jim1138 pointed out to Steve Brackett that material should not be removed from article talk pages.

On 22 August, Steve Brackett removed material from this talk page. Again.

I have restored it.

Anyone wanting to fiddle with material that's already on this or any other article talk page should first read and digest WP:REDACT. -- Hoary (talk) 22:56, 22 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
