[edit]I noticed this new article had a red tag for "Reflist missing" which is why no refs were displayed, but when I added it Wikipedia flagged two of the refs as being on the Wikipedia:Spam blacklist. I removed these and was able to save the page. - Ahunt (talk) 23:31, 29 September 2011 (UTC)
- I've spent quite a bit of time trying to find reliable sources to support a variety of assertions set forth in the article, and have by and large failed. It is not that Gurley Novelty (aka Gurley Candles) was unknown, but that most of what one can find on line about it can be found only in message board posts, eBay descriptions and other anecdotal sources. I'm going to pare down the article a bit to conform it a little more closely to the two or three RS's that can be found (and to which I have access). If I overdo it, let's please talk about it here. Thanks. JohnInDC (talk) 13:29, 7 October 2011 (UTC)
- Also - for the time being I'm going to leave in christmasnite.com as a source though I really have trouble seeing how it qualifies as an RS. I welcome any thoughts. Thanks. JohnInDC (talk) 13:30, 7 October 2011 (UTC)
- Your changes seem pretty reasonable to me. We can't have a bunch of unsupported text. - Ahunt (talk) 13:56, 7 October 2011 (UTC)
