Box

[edit]

Shouldn't someone find an updated picture of the box? It's no longer ESRB rated 'RP'. The preceding unsigned comment was added by 68.150.69.36 (talk • contribs) .

I've updated the picture. Sonixrulerz (talk) 09:38, 30 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Article Improvement

[edit]

I have begun editing the article to improve the look of the article. I am using the Halo entry as reference for improvement. I don't have too much time to give to edit the article, so any improvements that people can give would be greatly appreciated. ArmyOfPie (talk) 06:34, 10 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Deleted the sequel section, it is out dated and obviously there will be no sequel. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.194.155.108 (talk) 05:50, 16 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Storyline

[edit]

How about we create a new article for the storyline and link to it? Sonixrulerz (talk) 09:21, 30 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm thinking about removing the storyline and replacing it with a plot summary. If anyone agrees that I should do it I'll start working on it.ArmyOfPie (talk) 03:30, 29 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Merge

[edit]

Okay, this merge seems fairly obvious to me. Mainly because it pretty much only concerns GUN as a larger article. MadJaxter 10:15, 20 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I've never heard of it. Is it even notable enough to be mentioned at all? --Scottie_theNerd 10:27, 20 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The article being merged is GUN: Magruder's Ghost into GUN

Colton-Cole

[edit]

Is there a reason why Colton's name occasionally turns into "Cole" in the article. I don't remember that in the game...--76.174.127.53 16:28, 15 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe you should play it AGAIN. 69.250.130.215 15:15, 15 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sam i am

"Cole" is a short for "Colton", just as "Rusty = Russell", "Jim = James" and "Bill = William". --Schmendrick (talk) 16:05, 28 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Racist?

[edit]

In Yuma every one says that games raceist —Preceding unsigned comment added by 4.240.54.208 (talk) 00:27, 11 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I fail to see that at all because it isn't. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 4.224.60.129 (talk) 19:50, 13 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The controversy section addresses this to some degree. I would imagine that in Arizona there would be more influence from the Apache and other native american tribes who voiced concern about the game. Like a lot of westerns, the game depicts the racism of the time. The one thing that did bother me when playing the game, which Native Americans were offended by, is the depiction of Native Americans killing sacred white furred animals. That is a definite inaccuracy. But I believe it was out of ignorance and not malice. The game is actually sympathetic to the Chinese and Native Americans in its plot, who it depicts as being discriminated against. It's pretty much designed to be a good western in the vein of Unforgiven and other gritty westerns that attempt some semblance of realism while depicting extreme violence and cruelty. So I concur that it is not a racist game, but these elements led to some people being offended and believing that it is. [ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/NatNews/message/41365 this article ] covers the points that were made. Unfortunately as it is a blog it is not a suitable source for wikipedia. It does reference other articles, and the original petition, but I did not find the petition as the referenced site is no longer online and not archived. Infobox Corrections

[edit]

Has anyone realised the system requirements section in the Infobox is poorly written? I can't correct it myself, never having played the PC version. Farslayer (talk) 07:28, 13 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

GUNGun (video game)MOS:TM states that "Follow standard English text formatting and capitalization rules even if the trademark owner encourages special treatment". —Mika1h 18:03, 2 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support per nomination and per WP:NC(P) which recommends "adding a parenthetical (bracketed) disambiguator to the page name: for instance when both spellings are often or easily confused." In this case, only capitalization separates gun and GUN. — AjaxSmack 05:08, 3 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Gunscreen2.jpg

[edit]

Image:Gunscreen2.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
