Wolfmother, Radiohead, Muse, and MossiMovies

I found a source for Wolfmother http://blogs.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.view&friendID=18035203&blogID=475459111 and a source for Radiohead, Muse, and MossiMovies http://www.gamestar.hu/guitar-hero-5-reszletek.html, idk how the sourcing and reference stuff goes so can someone add the links?--Unknownsage13 (talk) 20:53, 18 May 2009 (UTC)

While these are likely true, the Wolfmother one does not specifically mention GH5 (a fall GH title, IIRC) so we should be careful. The .hu site, I don't know its reliability, so those other bands are questionable right now. --MASEM (t) 21:07, 18 May 2009 (UTC)
Says the new Guitar Hero. Isn't that also what the Alter Bridge link says?--Unknownsage13 (talk) 22:24, 18 May 2009 (UTC)
the Alter Bridge link specifically says "Guitar Hero 5". Remember that we have Band Hero and Van Halen before the end of 09 and while I doubt Wolfmother is in Band Hero, VH is a possibility. --MASEM (t) 22:30, 18 May 2009 (UTC)

The Hungarian site does not specifically list a Radiohead song, instead it says: MossiMovies - The Loser Song (Another Guy) Santana - No One to Depend On (Live) Muse - Plug In Baby Stevie Wonder - Superstition Attack! Attack! - You and Me

Ha minden igaz, Iron Maiden, Radiohead és Alter Bride számok is szerepelnek majd a kínálatban.

I do not see anything anywhere that says "The Bends" will be in GH5. 24.2.45.113 (talk) 09:40, 21 May 2009 (UTC)Anon#1

It says Queen with David Bowie. They only did one song together so could someone put up under pressure? —Preceding unsigned comment added by KezianAvenger (talkcontribs) 20:56, 6 June 2009 (UTC)

As much as that does sound realistic, I'm gonna have to call fake on it...Largely because these bits have me questioning it:

- "Songs from 85 musicians will be on the game disk." Removing the multiple U2/Green Day songs & the boss battles, that still leaves 90 artists.

- The Bob Dylan song being "My Back Pages", when the Dylan song confirmed was "All Along The Watchtower".

- Subsequently, the addition of Jimi Hendrix's version of "AATW", when the Dylan version is set to be used instead.

- The addition of Rancid's "Maxwell Murder", which clocks in at only 1:25 in length. With the exception of GH2's "Trogdor", which was a bonus song & a comedy song, no GH track has lasted less than 2 minutes (for good reason, IMO). Heck, with the exception of "Trogdor" & Rock Band's free Stephen & The Colberts song, no track in ANY of these rhythm games has been this short.

- "You're Awful, I Love You" is the name of a Ludo album, & it comes from the lyrics of "Love Me Dead", but it is not a title of one of their songs (though that could just be a typo).

...There are a few other questionable bits as well, but for now, I'm not buying it that much. --User:SlyDante (t) 08:50, 26 May 2009 (UTC)

Also, in reference to the Jack White guitar battle, "We've been trying to get the White Stripes and they have finally come around." I don't think he would have done that if he was skeptical about having his music included in the first place.

However, I did read somewhere that it was 89 bands (which there is excluding battles and doubles), but that may have just been wrong.

Plus, theres a Slipknot song, which I find a little unlikely.

With the AATW thing though, maybe that's how it was originally intended and the confirmation article messed it up? Dylan's AATW = boring, Hendrix's AATW = more suitable for guitar hero. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.243.250.120 (talk) 15:00, 26 May 2009 (UTC)

Also, they got Angel of Death for GH:M and cut it. What makes you think it'd be in this one? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.222.140.80 (talk) 21:43, 26 May 2009 (UTC)

There's a released list of confirmed bands that credits "Queen /w David Bowie". This probably means "Under Pressure" is in it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.229.90.148 (talk) 03:01, 10 June 2009 (UTC)

Just to make a note that we've got Brian Blight's confirmation that it is "Under Pressure" (yes, I know, what else could it be?, but havign a source is good). --MASEM (t) 16:44, 11 June 2009 (UTC)

A couple things I'd like to point out: Green Day is Rock Band exclusive, and I doubt there'll be anything from Guns N' Roses since Axl Rose is peeved about "Welcome to the Jungle" being in GH3 without his permission. Zeldafanjtl (talk) 20:22, 17 June 2009 (UTC)

Face to Face

Theres a song by Face To Face listed. When I checked the source for the link I failed to find anything about the song. Is it really confirmed?--Unknownsage13 (talk) 19:53, 27 May 2009 (UTC)

I haven't watched the video part of the gamespot article but it likely could be there (in that the lyrics are clearly seen or the song is heard). I would need to check this later. --MASEM (t) 19:59, 27 May 2009 (UTC)
I just watched it. There was no mention of the song in it and even if that was the song we shouldn't list it, that would count as original research.--Unknownsage13 (talk) 20:36, 27 May 2009 (UTC)
Go ahead and delete it, then. --MASEM (t) 21:09, 27 May 2009 (UTC)
Naw. I'm happy theres finally a song on that is clearly in the game without being brutally clear.--Unknownsage13 (talk) 21:24, 27 May 2009 (UTC)

The list of artists mentions Face to Face, yet the song "Disconnected" is already listed; why would the band need to be mentioned again? 71.235.9.253 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 04:19, 30 May 2009 (UTC).

Do or Die?

Penalty for missing a note, where you can't hit notes for a while? GH and RB games do this already, though the extent is not known. Since I don't know how it works, I am only making assumptions based on observations, but it seems like the better you do, the grace period for missing a note or hitting one early extends a bit, but once you miss a note, the grace period disappears, so the next note must be hit dead center perfectly or it's missed, even if you hit it inside the same grace period granted to another note in the same riff 3 or 4 back, before you missed one. But until someone gets the source code, there's a lot about the game mechanics we will never know. NathanJ1979 (talk) 13:01, 30 May 2009 (UTC)

Not in Game

MIA, Eve 6, Shiny Toy Guns, and Alter Bridge are not in game...DLC maybe? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.243.250.120 (talk) 17:45, 30 May 2009 (UTC)

The source for the Eve 6 & Shiny Toy Guns songs does list them as being in "Guitar Hero 5 Expansion". I'd see about putting them in a little part of the "Confirmed Artists" section with an explanation that they have been mentioned to possibly appear.
On an unrelated note, do you think we can just say already that the Queen/David Bowie song is "Under Pressure"? I mean really, what other song can it be? --SlyDante (t) 18:37, 30 May 2009 (UTC)
No, because that would be OR. Dfsghjkgfhdg (talk) 22:48, 31 May 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, that would be OR. However, your point is sound in the fact that that's the only song possible by that music pairing. We'll just have to wait until someone says it's Under Pressure though. --Kmanner (talk) 00:01, 2 June 2009 (UTC)

Celebrities

Neversoft/Activision has yet to mention anything about motion captured characters. Considering that David Bowie and Tom Petty are in two songs, I'm assuming that they will be playable characters, but nothing has been confirmed. Any information? Riffrider (talk)Riffrider —Preceding undated comment added 23:57, 30 May 2009 (UTC).

I am not quite sure what tells you that, simply by virtue of being on two songs, they will appear in the game. I don't think we need to worry about that now. They may or may not use such characters, we cannot just assume that they will or who they will be. Activision will let the public know when it is time. Tubularbells1993 (talk) 00:46, 31 May 2009 (UTC)
If that were the Case, Josh Homme(Queens of the Stone Age/Eagles of Death Metal) and Jack White(White Stripes/Raconteurs) would also be in. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.243.250.120 (talk) 02:16, 31 May 2009 (UTC)

ESRB Songs

http://www.esrb.org/ratings/synopsis.jsp?Certificate=27077

  • Lithium - Nirvana
  • What I Got - Sublime
  • Lust for Life - Iggy Pop
Please sign your posts with four tildes. Also, that does not confirm them. Dfsghjkgfhdg (talk) 05:45, 26 June 2009 (UTC)
So how can the ESRB be used as a source to confirm "Semi-Charmed Life" by Third Eye Blind and "Dope Nose" by Weezer in Guitar Hero: Van Halen, but not to confirm these three songs in GH5? CharlieKaneAndSon (talk) 18:11, 27 June 2009 (UTC)
It shouldn't. The ESRB ratings let us know that they will be featured in a music game, likely. We don't know which, and we don't know whether it would be main disc or DLC. Dfsghjkgfhdg (talk) 19:25, 27 June 2009 (UTC)
DLC isn't rated by the ESRB. Also that link is specifically for Guitar Hero 5. So those songs are deffinately in GH5.96.243.250.120 (talk) 03:00, 28 June 2009 (UTC)
Fair enough. I'm not sure what general policy on going that extra step of assuming no other song exists that might be in with the same lyrics, but my vote is to put them in. I'll wait a day for anyone to object, then add them. Dfsghjkgfhdg (talk) 10:19, 28 June 2009 (UTC)
Well, as far as I can tell, no other songs have the lyrics "He's gonna do another strip tease" or "Light me up that cigarette" other than "Lust for Life" and "What I Got". The lyric "I'm so horny" seems to be in alot of songs, but it looks as those "Lithium" is the only one that is done by a band confirmed for GH5. I'm sure it's safe to say these are the three songs the ESRB is referring to.CharlieKaneAndSon (talk) 17:27, 28 June 2009 (UTC)

That's original research until a reliable source confirms the same theory. ViperSnake151  Talk  18:40, 5 July 2009 (UTC)
That could be countered with "Ignore all rules" in this case, I feel. We're not really going out on a limb with the matching of the lyrics to the songs, especially considering we know what bands will appear in the game, and none of the other bands can be confirmed as not sharing any of those lyrics. It's not really much of a theory. Dfsghjkgfhdg (talk) 23:54, 5 July 2009 (UTC)
Here: http://www.destructoid.com/guitar-hero-5-esrb-listing-hints-at-nirvana-track-more-137473.phtml Destructoid confirmed the same theory. CharlieKaneAndSon (talk) 17:29, 6 July 2009 (UTC)

I've also confirmed that every song listed in these articles is on the list, and that every song listed here is appropriate sources (with band sites marked unreliable until more information is determined). --MASEM (t) 22:34, 13 July 2009 (UTC)

New Multiplayer Modes

"Momentum" - All players start off at medium difficulty. Miss notes and your difficulty decreases. Hit notes in a streak and your difficulty increases. The highest score wins.

"Streakers" - Keep your streak up. Before your multiplier changes, you'll get that number of points. Remember, star power doubles your multiplier. Get the most points to win.

"RockFest" - Compete against other players during a series of songs. Game rules will change after every song. Players vote in which rules to use. RockFest includes Pro Faceoff, Momentum, Streakers, Do Or Die, Perfectionist, and Elimination.

"Do Or Die" - Miss a note, get a strike. Three strikes and you're out until the next section. Get a point for each section you survive. Get the most points to win. Star power will remove strikes and make players invincible while active.

"Perfectionist" - Try to play perfectly. The players with the highest percentage of notes hit for a section will earn points. Ger the most points to win.

All modes above can be played in "Teams"

Like to use a better source than the game's trailer. I do note that we have most of these discussed already (a couple are called out that way), but the teaming aspect, for example, needs a bit more detail (how many per team, etc.) --MASEM (t) 23:23, 13 July 2009 (UTC)
Agreed but it did list all the artists that will be in the game. Plus i'm pretty sure it'll be the standard 4 players but it could be 4 guitars, basses?, drums and vocalist. Until its definite we wont know. UltimateSin01 (talk) 23:30, 13 July 2009 (UTC)

Xbox 360 Avatars

According to the achievement list, Xbox 360 users can use their avatars as their in-game characters. Groudon199 (talk) 04:30, 14 July 2009 (UTC)

Need a notch better source than that. (again, doubtful this is wrong, but just rather have confirmation. --MASEM (t) 04:43, 14 July 2009 (UTC)
This can also give some confirmation to using your Mii/360 Avatar for your character: http://gh5.guitarhero.com/about.php. Looking at the 4 picture box, a Mii is being used as a character in the game. UltimateSin01 (talk) 16:21, 16 July 2009 (UTC)
There were Miis in GHWT; it's the 360 avatar that would be news here. --MASEM (t) 18:16, 16 July 2009 (UTC)
Looking through the achievements list, http://www.xbox360achievements.org/ is a pretty credible source. Why can't we confrim it? Looks like a confirmation to me... UltimateSin01 (talk) 18:20, 16 July 2009 (UTC)
Now this is pretty reliable http://baxy-z.com/site_content.php?subaction=showfull&id=1248291542&archive=&start_from=&ucat=1& That proves that avatars will be in the game. UltimateSin01 (talk) 15:51, 22 July 2009 (UTC)

Muse site unreliable?

Why do you feel that the Muse site may be unreliable? Dfsghjkgfhdg (talk) 05:12, 16 July 2009 (UTC)

News from a band's website about inclusion in a game should be considered of iffy reliability. All other songs expected two others are sourced from secondary sources, which is what we really want (until there's a single full track list), so in the meantime we'd want cross-correlation that this is really the song in there. --MASEM (t) 05:50, 16 July 2009 (UTC)
Fair enough if you want to be extremely cautious, I suppose, but I really don't feel like a large band that has a history with the franchise is going to lie about the inclusion of one of their songs in the game. I'm sure that would probably violate some contractual agreements even, since they're obviously signed on for this game as well. Dfsghjkgfhdg (talk) 12:28, 16 July 2009 (UTC)
LOL, this guy is such a tool. "The band's website is unreliable". TOOL! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.242.21.251 (talk) 18:18, 16 July 2009 (UTC)
going by what you said then we need to change the release date on GHVH because its their website comfirming it —Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.223.147.35 (talk) 00:29, 17 July 2009 (UTC)
To be honest, I'm not really seeing any reasonable doubt in this. The source is the site of a band that has a history with the series, and almost definitely would have legal consequence if they were lying. Unless you can come up with a better argument in the next day or so, I think the general opinion is that the site is definitely reliable. Dfsghjkgfhdg (talk) 01:56, 17 July 2009 (UTC)

If anyone recalls Alter Bridge said that one of their songs would be in Guitar Hero 5, but it ended up not being in there. Neversoft could have easily decided to choose a different song by Muse. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.235.9.253 (talk) 16:45, 17 July 2009 (UTC)

I thought the deal was that Alter Bridge said one of their songs would be in a Guitar Hero game, and people wrongly assumed it would be GH5. Correct me if I'm wrong, though; I didn't follow it very closely early on. Dfsghjkgfhdg (talk) 03:36, 19 July 2009 (UTC)

I know that there's probably no concern that Muse is wrong. However, if you'll notice the format that I've put in place for the current setlist (until a full setlist is reliably released) noting the source for each location, I believe that noting that band sites and other sites outside of music or gaming journalism should be assumed to be unreliable for the purposes of seeking a better source. I'm not saying Muse is a vain band and lying to get into GH, but other bands have stated something and been wrong. So a band - in general - by itself is not sufficient for 100% confirmation. No slight to Muse (as I've marked Rush the same way). --MASEM (t) 20:05, 20 July 2009 (UTC)

I don't think anyone was taking it as a personal attack :P. I'm fine with leaving it with the way it is based on these arguments that have been presented. I suppose it's better to be safe than sorry, at any rate. Dfsghjkgfhdg (talk) 11:43, 21 July 2009 (UTC)

New Drums

Here are a few pictures of the new drums: http://www.el33tonline.com/past/2009/7/16/first_pictures_of_new_guitar/ Should we put them up on the main page? UltimateSin01 (talk) 16:09, 16 July 2009 (UTC)

They're not significantly different from the GHWT version; once the game's out, we can put up a free picture, but I don't think we need a non-free one until then. --MASEM (t) 16:17, 16 July 2009 (UTC)

Playable Characters

On July 20, 2009, the Guitar Hero Youtube channel has posted a video saying that Carlos Santana will be a playable character. Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sBgH1gsx1gs. The guitar legend will be having the song "No One to Depend On" (Live) in the game. This isn't the first time Santana has put his music in the franchise. His classic hit "Black Magic Woman" was covered and put in Guitar Hero 3 Legends Of Rock. Also, country legend Johnny Cash has been confirmed in the game and as a playable character. Though no gameplay has been released with a Cash in it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bosoxboy1468927 (talkcontribs) 19:14, 20 July 2009 (UTC)

Already included in the article, reliably confirmed for both artists. --MASEM (t) 20:02, 20 July 2009 (UTC)

Soundtrack Section

I believe that with the ammount of songs announced as of now (78/85), the songs should have its own page. Also we wouldn't need the sources column for the songs since almost all of them have been comfirmed by one source: IGN.

Also if a soundtrack page is made I wouldn't add DLC yet since we do not know which DLC will transfer over and which ones will not. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Opposeto (talkcontribs) 01:20, 22 July 2009 (UTC)

Once the game is released, and we can confirm any other details to add the songs, we'll make the separate page. At the present time, there's not enough additional information above the soundtrack to split it off. --MASEM (t) 01:35, 22 July 2009 (UTC)

New head-to-head gameplay

so, while I was pre-ordering Guitar Hero 5, I found it, source: http://www.guitarherostore.com/Browse-by-Title/Guitar-Hero-5/Guitar-Hero-5-Game-Only-Xbox-360;jsessionid=0a0104451f43bae83da06e6e4b739654e48f90bd8dff.e3eSbNmQaheLe3eLc40 it's from the Guitar Hero store

• Momentum: Songs get more difficult or easier on the fly depending on player performance. • Perfectionist: Rewards players with the highest percentage at the end of each song section. • Elimination: Players are eliminated throughout a song based on their performance in each segment and the last one standing wins • Do-or-Die: Missing any three notes for a song section temporarily knocks players out of the game and keeps them from scoring. • Streakers: Players are awarded points for each note streak in multiples of 10. • Pro Face Off: Head-to-head battle where players all play the same song on the same difficulty with the same instrument

And I also found a promotion: If you preorder Guitar Hero 5 in the Guitar Hero store[3] you get a Guitar Hero key chain

I'd like anyone to put this in the article —Preceding unsigned comment added by GastroTV (talkcontribs)

This is already in the gameplay section - not all the modes are listed but just that there exist such modes. --MASEM (t) 19:21, 26 July 2009 (UTC)

Final songs?

“Right Where I Belong” 3 Doors Down

“Money For Nothing” Dire Straits

“Bleed American” Jimmy Eat World

“Sleepwalker” Megadeth

“Dr. Feelgood” Mötley Crüe

“Steady, As She Goes” The Raconteurs

Playable Characters(Updated)

Along with country legend Johnny Cash, and guitar legend Carlos Santana, IGN has released a video of lead singer of Garbage, Shirley Manson, will be a playable character on Guitar Hero 5. Link: http://xbox360.ign.com/dor/objects/14303807/guitar-hero-5/videos/ghero5_trl_smanson_72809.html. The song "I'm only happy when it rains" is the Garbage song in the game. Like Santana this isn't the only song Garbage has released on a music game. The band put the song "I think I'm paranoid" in the original Rock Band. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bosoxboy1468927 (talkcontribs) 11:31, 29 July 2009 (UTC)

Final 7 songs?

http://www.musicherox.com/

The video shown at the top of this article shows what could be the final 7 songs for Guitar Hero 5. I'm not sure if this is official, but going by Joystiq's list compiled from 'inside sources' and the possibility that this is Activision's way of advertising the new game, I tend to think these are the final songs. (Remember with Guitar Hero: World Tour, they used a pretty girl in one of the promo vids for that game too, so that tends to further the possibility that this is real.) If so, the last songs are:

  • "Smells Like Teen Spirit", by Nirvana (which would be the second artist to have two songs in the game; the other being Tom Petty).
  • "Sultans of Swing", by the Dire Straits
  • "Kryptonite", by 3 Doors Down
  • "Looks That Kill", by Motley Crue
  • "Bleed American", by Jimmy Eat World
  • "Steady, As She Goes", by the Raconteurs
  • "Sweating Bullets", by Megadeth

IGN's report appears to conflict with the report here, which does not include "Smells Like Teen Spirit". Also, David Bowie and Tom Petty would be your duplicate artists (one is paired with Queen later on and another is paired with The Heartbreakers. -- TRTX T / C 13:28, 30 July 2009 (UTC)

That file should not be on commons - it's a copyright image. Upload the file using the "Upload file" link on the left side, and select "Screenshot of a ..." option. Also, it needs to be reduced in size - 1200x780 is way too large for copyrighted images, but if you make it about 400px across, that should work. The image, however, seems fine to add to this. --MASEM (t) 18:45, 12 August 2009 (UTC)

Matt Bellamy as Playable Character

Matt Bellamy from Muse is going to be a playable character in the game. My source is this article from SPIN: http://www.spin.com/articles/muse-pomp-and-circumstance However, the online version ends early because it's more like a teaser for the print article. So I've taken the liberty of scanning and uploading the page where it says he's going to be a character. http://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u18/LaverniusTucker/bellamy.jpg In that last few paragraphs, it briefly mentions how Bellamy is "...the band's main songwriter and a featured character in the new Guitar Hero 5" I think this is proof enough, eh?

No Drumkit for GH5

This should be removed. "Guitar Hero 5's drum kit also remains similar in design to the one introduced in World Tour, featuring three colored electric drum pads acting as snares and toms, two elevated pads that act as cymbals, and a bass drum pedal. The new unit appears closer to the Rock Band drum kit, with round cymbal pads instead of wedge-shaped units, and means of fixing the bass drum kick pedal against the drum kit's frame.[27]"

Its been confirmed that the new drums are for Band Hero, not Guitar Hero 5. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.121.242.36 (talk) 00:54, 1 September 2009 (UTC)

Weasel words in "reception" section

I was originally going to tag the section, but I figured that it would just get reverted. Similarly, I haven't done extensive research on this, so I don't want to make changes that are better suited for someone who knows more. There are cases where there are passive voice and "some say" constructions, your standard weasely fare. There are other places where the section does well to quote specific reviewers. If we're using "some say" constructions for places where a lot of reviewers have expressed the same opinion, then write a footnote saying so and pointing readers to at least a few of them. Croctotheface (talk) 08:46, 3 September 2009 (UTC)

I'm not seeing this - or at least cases where it starts with something like "some say" it is immediately followed by additional sentences from specific reviewers to support this. (eg. "Reviews liked feature X.(no ref) A. Reviewer from Y said this about X.(ref) B. Reviewer from Z thought this about X.(ref)" This is an acceptable form of referencing and summary-writing. --MASEM (t) 13:06, 3 September 2009 (UTC)
The Kurt Cobain bit at the end is what I have the most problem with. The "some say" statement is stronger than the attributed one. Generally, I don't see the value of "some say" statements anyway if you're going to have attribution; it's either redundant to "summarize" one or two specific cases or the "summary" is qualitatively different from the specific quotes. In the former case, it's unnecessary verbiage, and in the latter, it runs afoul of NPOV and NOR. Croctotheface (talk) 23:05, 3 September 2009 (UTC)

It may be worth mentioning that the European download store for PS3 and Wii has been unavailable since at least the 9th of September, making the World Tour upgrade impossible. Playstation 2 Limitations section

Hi, I'm a newbie who added a small new section about PS2 limitations. It got reverted my Masem: "Reverted good faith edits ...; Not necessary (at least as standalone section)."

Yeah it was a pretty small section but I did it that way as it seemed to be in keeping with the existing "Wii-specific features" section, and it could grow larger too.

Any suggestions how to get this PS2 info onto the page then? This really is new info that's close to non-existent on the net. I spent some time trying to find out about the PS2 version but all so-called "PS2 GH5" reviews around are actually generic GH5 reviews without mention of all the bits missing from the PS2 version. I think this info is needed.

Yeah, I'm well aware that the issue is still there -- the notability comes in the fact that even though there are literally thousands of Guitar Hero videos on YouTube, Activision chose to pull copyright on this video, as the article states. --Teancum (talk) 11:27, 14 October 2009 (UTC)
Sure, that I read too. My feeling is that legal action has been initiated by one side or the other, and Activision is covering themselves by pulling it even though the cat's out of the bag. (they could have done that weeks ago when it first appeared and the story was in the news, but they didn't then, which is... just weird.) Maybe there's a way to work it in, but really, the video itself isn't significant, yet, to the issue. --MASEM (t) 13:35, 14 October 2009 (UTC)
Ok, on further reading, I found a place to mention this video and removal without disrupting the flow otherwise. --MASEM (t) 23:34, 16 October 2009 (UTC)

Any difference in GH5 around Wii Rock Band equipment?

Using the Find option, I didn't find anything that mentioned any cross-compatibility to Guitar Hero 5, despite the release of it being long after Rock Band 1 and 2. Is it exactly the same as World Tour? Because it says in the Development section "The game remains compatible with previous Guitar Hero game controllers as well as those from Rock Band and selected other rhythm games", but that might only be referring to PS2, PS3 and 360.

It might also help to mention the same in the two Rock Band articles. Mechamind90 (talk) 06:38, 24 October 2009 (UTC)

Notes

  • The statement "Players are able to create a playlist in Rockfest and assign a different mode to each song." would probably fit better into the prose of the Game Modes section rather than after the list.Green tickY
  • The PlayStation 2 paragraph of the Console-specific variations section needs cited or removed.Green tickY
  • The image GH5Gameplay.jpg needs a fair-use rationale update, and an image without a watermark is definitely preferred.Green tickY

VERDICT -- Full support, pending issues listed above are fixed. PASS Reviewer: Teancum (talk) 12:58, 5 November 2009 (UTC)

  • I went ahead and updated the rationale of GH5Gameplay.jpg. It was minor, but IMO necessary. I took care of the Rockfest copy edit. I also copy edited the PS2 paragraph. As I couldn't find any sources for it I'm conceding on that point. --Teancum (talk) 19:15, 13 November 2009 (UTC)
