The only reference that states a forename spells it as Guiseppe ("you-eye"), but according to Google, Giuseppe ("eye-you") appears to be a 40-times more common spelling. I don't know enough Italian to know whether both spelling variations are valid, or whether one is typographical error, does anybody know? Best Regards. DynamoDegsy (talk)
Although I'm not a native italian speaker, I am very sure that Guiseppe is a mis-spelling of Giuseppe. I've had italian classes at school for over five years and I've never encountered the name "Guiseppe", whereas "Giuseppe" is very common. The only reference you cite ([1]) is a british document, so even this is not originally italian, which increases the possibility of a typing error, IMHO.
