Erased 11 shorts section and changed the article
[edit]I erased the 11 shorts section of the aritcle because Mr. Arriaga himself spoke about this article in an interview, claiming that the portion of the 11 shorts was a lie. I also updated the article with current information on him... I am from Germany and I do not have enough information in him as someone from Mexico would, so if anyone from Mexico has information, please let me know so I can expand the article. Guillermo Arriaga says some of this article was incorrect
[edit]I talked with him for about thirty minutes when he was at my TV station promoting his latest movie (Burning Plain). I asked him about his feeling about the term "screenwriter", and mentioned I had read something in Wikipedia. He said the Wikipedia article had it wrong. He did not mind the English word "screenwriter". It was the word most often used in Spanish he did not like. It could also refer to people who wrote travel guidebooks.
He said the last time he checked the Wikipedia article about himself, he found several errors. He tried to correct them, but someone changed them back about an hour later. Since then, he said, he does not bother to keep updated on his article.
He came by KUSI-TV in San Diego on September 10, 2009. I have posted some of the photos I took on my website. I'll be adding more material as soon as I get the chance.
