History section - confusing
There are some grammar problems, specifically with this segment: ``Thirty five years on the space is beautiful, is still cared for by volunteers but now enjoys the protection of the city's parks department. Guerilla gardening of this form - that is gardening on someone else's land without permission - has been around for centuries, there is even a reference to it in the bible. so much that I'm unsure of what the sentence is supposed to mean (so I'm hesitant to fix it myself). The reference to the Bible could also use some expanding. Fishtron 21:38, 16 August 2007 (UTC)
Yea where at in the bible is this referenced. Thenormalyears 16:48, 11 September 2007 (UTC)
Guerilla gardening in practice
Please include a new section called "Guerilla gardening in practice". It should include that food obtained from dumpster diving may be reused for making compost for the guerilla garden based in the city. See Instructables dumpster diving combined with guerilla gardening and Journeytoforever small-scale (city) composting information (trough vermiculture). Also look at this article about the vermiculture combination with city farms.
Thanks.

- This is Wikipedia — you have the power to add that section yourself (you don’t need to ask someone else to do it). Please do. Thanks. —GrantNeufeld (talk) 05:35, 30 March 2008 (UTC)

Green Card (film)
When I first read this article, I immediate thought of the film Green Card. The female main character in this film, played by Andie MacDowell, is a political active person engaging in guerrilla gardening with a group of young people. I distinctly remember this, but it is a long time since I saw the movie, and I don't remember everything. I think this article Guerrilla gardening should have a reference to that movie, but I don't know exactly how and where it fits in the article. Who can verify that I am not mistaken and who can put that in the article? Johan Lont (talk) 12:21, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
Overly political
I take issue with the opening statement, and possibly with the classification of "activism". The opening statement characterizes guerrilla gardening as a political act, primarily by environmentalists. This associates the activity with leftist activism (apparently intentionally), which immediately turns quite a few people against the activity. This has two negative effects: it repels those who might have become interested in the activity for non-political reasons, and unnecessarily creates enemies of the movement. Suppose for example that a cop, judge or local politician, who happens to be politically conservative, reads this. He may have thought it a good idea, or at least not seen any harm in it, if presented in non-political terms. But seeing it as leftist political activism, such a person will almost certainly use his power to oppose guerrilla gardening in his jurisdiction.
I am already a fan of guerrilla gardening from a practical standpoint, planting food-producing plants in areas where they are unlikely to be noticed or to offend anyone; and yet the tone of this article repels me. What about those who have never before heard of guerrilla gardening? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Possumlivingdotcom (talk • contribs) 17:23, 26 September 2008 (UTC)
Uh...criticism?
Is there no criticism of the illegal use of land by others? Im sure many "environmentalists" may indeed think nothing of using private property for community or environmental use, yet strangely enough their thoughts rarely hold any power against the right of property. These are criminal concerns, illegal activities and would hold deep criticism regardless the legality of it, yet no controversy or criticism in this entire article? 121.215.130.20 (talk) 09:31, 17 February 2009 (UTC) Harlequin
