"Its source is the Curiba Lake which is 4,400 m above sea level and has an extension of approximately 80 kms. Among its major afluents are waters from the Curiba Lake, Donachui river, Capitanejo river, and Los Mangos river."

What does "has an extension" mean? Is this river 80 km long?

Affluent means having a lot of money Effluent means waste water (eg from sewage)

Does the author mean that "waters from the the Curiba Lake, Donachui river, Capitanejo river, and Los Mangos river flow into this river."?
