This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because I am still editing this page today and I did not realise that I pressed the save bottom until you sent me the message.


Guangdong Country Garden School (CGS) is a private co-ed boarding school in Foshan, China. The CGS serves an area over 33 hectares with more than 4,300 students on campus, from age 3 to 18. [1]

CGS was founded in 1994, by Shunde Group which is a famous Real Estate Development Company in China. CGS had added IB programs in 2001. A-level and IGCSE programs in 2007. The International Foundation Year Program (IFY) in 2008. [1]


Academic reputation

GCS is a member of world-renowned International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) School, which is Guangdong’s first-level school, an advanced non-government school of Guangdong province, one of the top 10 private schools.

Graduates from CGS continue to further their studies in the world famous university: the University of Oxford, Cambridge University and Imperial College of London; the University of California, Canada McGill University, the University of Michigan, University of Toronto; Australian National University, the University of Melbourne and so on.

School graduates spread in Chinese top university: Hong Kong University, Beijing University, tsinghua University, Zhejiang University, Fudan University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Zhongshan University, etc... [1]
