Proposed logical restructuring
[edit]I propose a more logical restructuring to place the concerns of the group ahead of its activities.
Under a new subheading 'Concerns', I'd place the existing sections '2.3 Carbon emissions', '2.4 Te Tai o Poutini Plan' and '2.5 Opposition to Three Waters reforms'.
This would have the desirable effect of bringing the explanatory content relating to He Waka Eke Noa ahead of the reference to it in the section 'Attempted meetings with Government figures', where it currently appears without preceding explanation.

After further thought, I amend my proposal so that the existing sections '2.3 Carbon emissions', '2.4 Te Tai o Poutini Plan' and '2.5 Opposition to Three Waters reforms' would be incorporated in the preceding section 'Goals and positions', rather than under a new subheading 'Concerns'. -- Jmc (talk) 19:37, 23 October 2022 (UTC)
Nem con, I've restructured as proposed, with some cleaning up to be done to eliminate repetition. -- Jmc (talk) 07:50, 24 October 2022 (UTC)
- Hi @Jmc:, thanks so much for going ahead to reorganise the article. Sorry I was editing Wookieepedia. I agree that it will be good to place the group's goals and positions ahead of its histories and activities. I agree that it makes sense to arrange the information in this way. While I like how the article now has two major sections focusing on its cause and activities, it might be good to have the Issues and controversies in a separate section. Most Wiki articles usually try to avoid having controversies sections but it was hard to fit some of this information such as allegations of racism and links to the NZ Taxpayers' Union into the other sections. Let me know what you think Andykatib 10:39, 24 October 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks for your positive response @Andykatib - and thanks for adding content about the latest nationwide protest.
- If I understand your suggestion aright, subsections 2.3 Issues and controversies (comprising 2.3.1 Allegations of racism and misogyny, and 2.3.2 COVID-19), 2.4 Links to the NZ Taxpayers' Union, and 2.5 Online petitions would be elevated to a new section 3 Issues and controversies. This seems to me to be a very sensible idea, which would add further clarification to the article. -- Jmc (talk) 21:59, 24 October 2022 (UTC)
Hi @Jmc:, thanks for your support. Agree that it will be good to have a section 3 covering the issues and controversies around the group. Happy to collaborate. Andykatib (talk) 23:17, 24 October 2022 (UTC)
