Father
[edit]I strongly suspect that Henry Davies (cricketer) was Gris' father. The unique surname and link to Patching are convincing circumstantial evidence. The main anomaly is Henry's second name, cited as 'George' in Gris' entry in the unit histories website. Because of this uncertainty I have shortened the name reference to initial 'G'.
