The article currently reads "demolishing Lützerath"- Lützerath is a town. Is the company really planning to destroy the town, or has it actually agreed to close its mine? The way the article reads, I think it means the latter, but some-one who knows which should change the text to make it clear. Kdammers (talk) 19:57, 6 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Criticism of Israel itself is not inherently antisemitic - you can of course have legitimate criticisms of any nation or government. However, if you claim that Israel should no longer remain a Jewish state, or that it is somehow a "racist" or "colonialist" project, then you are thereby engaging in genocidal rhetoric and you are endorsing what has been explicitly recognized as a form of antisemitism by both the US government and numerous human rights and anti-discrimination organizations, e.g. https://www.state.gov/defining-antisemitism/. Denying the historical and moral necessity of a Jewish state in the land of Israel or claiming that it is somehow a "colonialist" project is inherently antisemitic, and by espousing these views you are perpetuating a strain of antisemitic commentary that literally originates in post-WW2 neo-nazi ideology. There should be something added in the controversies section. At this point there have been several events where she talked more about Middle east politics than the environment, for example [2]here she was interrupted at climate rally.
I won't weigh in on definitions of anti-semitism vs anti-zionism but it's a notable controversy for her and it's misleading not to make note of it. Ben25890 (talk) 17:00, 27 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
A mention can be made, but without the above rhetoric, and possibly without mention of StopAntisemitism and their "antisemite of the week". That is hardly a neutral organization and at the least attribution of their stance would be needed. – Muboshgu (talk) 17:21, 27 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
