Destroyed in the Civil War?
[edit]The article says the Gresham Hotel was destroyed by British shelling during the Easter Rising in 1916. However, the article on Bloody Sunday says a British officer was shot at the Gresham in November 1920, and Tim Pat Coogan's biography of Michael Collins (1990, pp. 165-66) says that Collins hosted a dinner at the Gresham at Christmas 1920. Was the old Gresham in fact destroyed during the Civil War? There was heavy fighting in Sackville Street in 1922. Peter Bell (talk) 07:08, 3 January 2010 (UTC)
