Congressman Meeks constituents in Howard Beach include Ramblersville and Hamilton Beach, which are not "rich" ina any sense of the word. Jimryan
I removed:
He recently appeared in a print ad with his gay brother for Parents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays.
as there doesn't seem to be any documentation for this statement. Jimryan
Which is the correct birth year? 1950 or 1953?

Political orientation
Meeks is certainly a liberal. How did anyone rate him conservative? His interest group ratings can be seen at the following www.vote-smart.org site, http://www.votesmart.org/issue_rating_category.php?can_id=4360 . Dogru144 (talk) 02:29, 20 July 2008 (UTC)
Inexplicable TV spot
I have included a neutral reference to a TV spot the Congressman cut for a Governor indicted for corruption, which is inexplicable given Meeks strong anti-corruption record. If a strong anti-corruption Republican cut a spot for, say, Sen. Ted Stevens, that would certainly also be inexplicable and a highly relevant fact for the Republican's article.
