Raised in northern ireland,but learned to play guitar as a child on air force camps in singapore. He also pre-ambled his career towards becoming a recording artist, as a night club disc jockey from 15 to 19 in portrush, edinburgh,london,birmingham, and finally leicester, before returning to edinburgh to join fellow irish boys in rosetta stone.
