Green Cheese had a conventional warhead, though nuclear warhead variants were proposed. See Friedman's Post-Cold War Revolution (Conway,1986) and Richard Moore, The Royal Navy and Nuclear Weapons (Frank Cass, 2001). The latter is regarded as the authoritative work on the subject, using a comprehensive list of primary sources, whereas Skomer (the only source quoted)is questionable at best.
