Greek food products, Greek products
[edit]I have redirected all but one pages pages linked to Greek products back to Greek food products, in order to free the former for future development (e.g. for a possible overview article of products from Greece). The only page I could not do was Greece because it's locked. I would appreciate if someone could do that for me (i.e. change the wikilink of Greek products to Greek food products in the said article. Thanks! -Sonathos 07:27, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
Rationale
[edit]This page was merged with Greek cuisine a while ago, because it wasn't clear what it added to the Greek cuisine article and its definition was unclear. Is it about exports of foods? In that case, it presumably should include the very large export business in grapes, oranges, raisins, and fresh and canned tomatoes and peaches, as well as capers, olive oil, honey, and canned dolmathakia (which are more 'typical'). Is it about specific Greek specialties, like Greek cheese, and Greek wines? How about Greek brands of pasta (Misko), which I can actually find here in Boston.... What's more, the links to this page are all over the place, including various dishes as well as food products, including: tzatziki, spanakopita, souvlaki, gyros, meze, saganaki, tsoureki, kothropita, and skordalia.
I would like to see a rationale for keeping this as a separate page. --Macrakis 13:37, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
