Move suggested
[edit]The Great Qing Legal Code is not a standard term for the Da Qing Lüli, the "Qing Code" is more appropriate.--Niohe 00:18, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
- I'd like to see more sources for an established translation before making such move. --Kvasir 09:44, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
Well, the English translation by William Jones is called The Great Qing Code (1994) and I can get you a number of sources thaty just call it the Qing Code.--Niohe 11:39, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
- As a translation of Da Qing Lü or Da Qing Lüli I would personally prefer Code of the Great Qing, but Qing Code is now conventional in English-language scholarship.--Madalibi (talk) 05:59, 6 November 2008 (UTC)
- Me again, just to note that the article on the legal code of the Tang dynasty is simply called Tang Code even if that code's Chinese title is Tanglü shuyi 唐律疏議. I see no reason why we shouldn't adopt the same format for the Qing Code. Now I have no idea how to move an article to another url, so if nobody disagrees, could someone else take care of the move?--Madalibi (talk) 08:11, 6 November 2008 (UTC)
