"The railway operated its main line between Aberdeen Waterloo and Keith. " This statement would be a lot more informative if Keith was shown on the map.Eregli bob (talk) 14:01, 20 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for that comment, which I am sure you intended supportively. Just after I did the map, the image was cited for speedy deletion by Wikipedia, although I don't understand why. I had intended to expand the article considerably, but the map was a lot of work and I lost enthusiasm in view of the deletion threat. I see the map is still there -- I might have another shot if I still have the reference books.

Is there any support for this?Afterbrunel (talk) 20:22, 30 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I have started the article, James Manson (engineer). Please expand it if you can. Biscuittin (talk) 22:16, 26 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
There was an article in Railway World about thirty years ago, titled "The Manson Bogies". It was about his 4-4-0 locos for both the GNoSR and the GSWR. I don't know if I still have the mag anywhere. --Redrose64 (talk) 22:20, 26 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

aberdeen and keith ?

[edit]

So the description says "the railway operated it's main line between Aberdeen and Keith", but, unhelpfully, Keith is not shown on the accompanying map.Eregli bob (talk) 11:59, 4 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hahaha. I just see that I complained about the same problem, four years ago ! Sorry... Eregli bob (talk) 12:00, 4 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I have just started to expand the article. I will get round to at least one map. Edgepedia (talk) 12:19, 4 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Aberdeen ... the far north-east?

[edit]

Wick and Thurso would be candidates to be regarded as towns in the far north-east of Scotland, but Aberdeen? If Aberdeen is in the far north-east, where is the north-east proper?     ←   ZScarpia   00:55, 20 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I agree and have removed the word 'far' from the lead. Edgepedia (talk) 07:31, 20 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
