chris cornell's contribution to soundtrack

The song "Siren" was written especially for this film by Tori Amos. The soundtrack also includes songs by popular artists such as Pulp, Scott Weiland, Iggy Pop, Chris Cornell with his solo debut, and The Verve Pipe.. this wasn't chris cornell's first solo song. on the singles soundtrack in 1992 he recorded a solo song called seasons. his first solo album was however released in 1999 (euphoria morning) —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Dark Devil (talk • contribs) 11:24, August 22, 2007 (UTC).

Pip

Why is Pip renamed to Finn in this movie adaptation? Prottos007 (talk) 02:33, 15 February 2008 (UTC)

I think it has something to do with the overabundant fish symbology. Fish seem to symbolise Finn's dreams - when he kills a fish while fishing with Joe it symbolises the death of Pip's artistic dreams. Or such is my interpretation. Fountains are also somewhat symbolic, with Finn often meeting Estella at them. There is A LOT of green as well. 121.0.0.162 (talk) 22:17, 17 June 2008 (UTC)

Producer Art Linson covers the production of this film in a chapter of his book "What Just Happened?". In it, he explains that Finn was the name of Ethan Hawke's dog and it was decided on almost as an afterthought, as Pip didn't work with the modern day setting.CallMeRedhead (talk) 15:04, 3 May 2013 (UTC)

Sees, see, or seize

In the first paragraph of the "Synopsis" section it says:

"The police sees the small boat heading out to sea."

This is incorrect.

If the police saw the boat with their eyes it would be:

"see"

If the commandeered the boat it would be:

"seize"

I am not sure which one you are trying to say here, and I have not seen the film.
