Accuracy of information regarding the origin of the bed

[edit]

While the page states that the bed was created by Jonas Fosbrooke, according to the Victoria and Albert museum page, "The bed featured in a London pantomime in 1839, which gave rise to the story that it was made by a character called 'Jonas Fosbrooke'" which implies that Jonas Fosbrooke might be a fictional character. How can a bed that is only 367 cm in width and 267 in height manage to fit 16 people? is this gullivars land or something?

Request for photo

[edit]

Are pictures allowed to be taken in the museum where the bed is on display? I'd love for someone to upload a photograph on the bed, or perhaps several—a wide shot and some close-ups of the posts with the names carved. Robert K S 11:43, 13 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Canterbury Tales issue

[edit]

I question the statement that the bed was mentioned in Chaucer's Canterbury Tales, as these were written two hundred years before the bed was built. Zedzoom 19:59, 5 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
