For gloom, insignificance, pusillanimous, hopelessness & worthlessness. Having three layers is quite the balance in universe as the most dark, dank, evil, pointless, bleak and dreary of places in existence and therefore the root of evil having no meaning or value whatsoever.... Is the first layer, being the initial have having no claim on being the deepest, the most worthless and true to form? Is the bottom, of course being the deepest and most extreme of the sentiment, the most? or is the middle, having no claim to either, the most overlooked and despair at being marginalized? All are equally useless, and all have some claim to being the most dark of the three glooms just based on their hierarchy and relative nature to one another. Fitting..
